Direct vs resort desk vs online travel agency
All three routes end up on the same buggies and the same catamarans. What changes is the price you pay, how flexible your booking is, and who you can reach when something changes.

When booking in advance really matters
In low season you can often book a tour the day before. In high season — mid-December to mid-April, Easter week, and July and August — the morning departures fill first because they are cooler and leave the afternoon free at the resort.
- Travelling with children: morning departures sell out first and are the ones you want.
- Groups of six or more: private departures need vehicles reserved ahead.
- Short stays of three nights or fewer: there is no second chance if the day is full.
- Cruise or single-day visits: pick-up timing has to be planned around your window.
- Special dates: New Year, Easter and Dominican long weekends book out fastest.
How far in advance should you book?
One to two weeks ahead is enough for most travellers, and three to four weeks in high season or for groups. Booking months ahead brings no discount and only makes changes more likely.
Because reserving with us costs nothing up front, there is no downside to locking the date early: if plans change you cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before departure.
The mistake that costs travellers the most
Prepaying a reseller for a date you are not sure about. Once the money is with an intermediary, moving the tour depends on their policy and their support hours, not on the operator who actually runs it. Reserving directly with the operator keeps both the price and the flexibility on your side.
